Interesting article on gender differences (written for general audience).
The gist: very little is agreed upon, and many differences are nature rather than nature. Some differences are likely, including “physical aggression, motor skills, and measures of sexuality (such as the frequency of masturbation).” But the supposed superior verbal skills of females and better math skills of males might be attributable to other factors.
My view: I don’t discount the possibility of evolutionary specialization with regard to gender, but I concur that many of the supposed differences might not really be hard-wired at all and are likely exaggerated. It’s good to see this fascinating area being studied after remaining dormant for so long (due to fear of being labeled “sexist”).
