US war on journalists and whistleblowers

Journalist’s house raided and items removed. Raid was to search for possession of illegal firearms. Items removed were paperwork concerning story the reporter was working on.

“In particular, the files included notes that were used to expose how the Federal Air Marshal Service had lied to Congress about the number of airline flights there were actually protecting against another terrorist attack,” Hudson wrote in a summary about the raid provided to TheDC.

This is definitely not change I can believe in. The idea that investigative journalists can have their houses raided and their inside sources seized is the sort of thing I expect in some of the worst regimes on the planet, not something I ever expected in the US during my lifetime.
